Hi everyone,
New guy here from Raleigh, NC. I'm in tech school now, and came across this site looking up tools. Glad I found it, will probably help me save money in the long run. But while I'm a student, I'll enjoy the benefits of my student discount through SO, Matco, and a few others.

Welcome to GJ. Take advantage of your student discount but do not get in over your head. Those tools are there to make a living from, not to impress people . . . . . that comes later.

Yeah, I'm at Wake Tech. I'm one of the older guys in my class, so going overboard on tools is a big no no. I pretty much have it figured out as to what tools I need. But there are a few things that I'll pick up with my discount. So far, I've picked up the SO 1/2" drive cordless impact wrench. I'd have to say its one of my best tool investments yet. It does need a friend in the 3/8" cordless gun, along with the SO torque wrenches, and I'll probably leave it at that with SO.
