I buried an 8" pvc pipe under my 30X30 slab. It comes out under the carport, so cooler air is drawn in, cools more under the building, then the vent fan pulls that air thru the building.

The Biltmore House in Asheville has huge ducts that draw in outside air and is directed inside. The amount of air coming out of the vents was amazing considering there is no forced air.

Nice...does this kind of thing work on the same principal that is used to vent underground root cellars? Is there a max length you can have the vent before it won't draw air in?
