Anywhere between 1-6 tons. OP's Deere would fall somewhere in the 3-4 ton range depending on attachment, foam filled tires, etc.

Texasranger is correct my skid steer is way to heavy for my dump trailer. I have a good friend that will move my machine for $50. Due to my machines weight it would put me into the commercial trucking rules which add a lot of cost and aggravation. The weight of my dump trailer lets me bypass most of the trucking rules and added costs. For the amount of times I need to move my skid steer it doesn't make any financial sense for me to move it myself.

Also I scaled my trailer at 2236 lbs empty, not including the weight of the ramps.

In the US states where I've lived the magic number is 10k for trailers before you need a combination plate and/or CDL. As a result many equipment manufacturers target 7500 lbs for machine weight so you can get by with a 10k gvw trailer assuming trailer tare is around 3k or less. Figure 10% tongue weight and you have about 500 lbs left for an extra attachment or ballast.

So at ~2400 with ramps you could probably switch to 5k axles and tow your skid if you wanted to legally...assuming Canada uses the same 10k magic number.

$50 for your buddy is cheaper though!

in Ontario if your vehicle & trailer rgvw is over 4500kg, or 10,000 lbs you need to get annual inspections
if your trailer is rated for(or more than ) 4500kg ( 10,000 lbs) you need an A license. G class won't suffice .
trailers up to ( I forget the number but I think 7,000 lbs) lbs are weighed at the wheels only, not including the tongue weight. over that weight the entire trailer is weighed ( including tongue weight)
yet any camper , rv etc doesn't play by the same rules

EDIT I stand corrected.

If the trailer weighs more than 2,800 kg (6,171 lb.); Register the truck for at least the combined weight of the truck and trailer

If the trailer weighs 2,800 kg (6,171 lb.) or less; Register the truck for at least the weight of the truck , which includes trailer tongue weight. Weight transmitted directly to the ground, by the trailer, is not included in the RGW.

How do you like it compared to the hobart 190? How often did you hit the duty cycle of the hobart? How user friendly is the lincoln? I wont lie, I am a miller/hobart fan, but really really curious on the lincoln mp210

I love my Lincoln 210, my old HH 190 would drive me crazy because I would consistently be hitting the duty cycle. but in the year that i've owned my 210 mp i've never once hit the duty cycle. The welders interface is super easy to use and I like how its infinite adjustable in the volts and wire feed IPM unlike my old welders where they had fixed taps

If you dont mind me asking how much is this dump trailer costing you in parts/materials? I wont ask for how long it takes because i can see you like building as i do.
Im considering building a dump trailer also.
