heres my garage/raceshop,i built it 16years ago and have built and modified a few cars in it,it was just the usual block and truss roof construction,16ft wide and 50ft long, the size of the plot at the side of the house, after last years long spells of low temperatures[-20c during the night] i thought id better insulate it to make it more comfortable for working in.

started off with a layer of building paper, then metal stud framing to hold the drywall and 8inch rockwool insulation, also drywalled the ceiling and put 10in of rockwool up top, making sure its going to be cosy this year, ive also plumbed a radiator from the house into the garage

with the drywall done i started buffing down the epoxy, its been down 10years and starting to wear through in places, homemade buff with 40grit oxide paper working a treat

more updates when i get the epoxy done

That is a beautiful car! Is it hard to work in a space that is 16' wide?

16ft wide is not far off double garage here,i can get 2 cars side by side and work on them,it would have been great to go wider but thats the size of the plot without building into the house

after a few issues with the epoxy floor stuff now getting it closer to being finnished, drywall taped/painted,fitted some homemade cabinets and stainless steel top, sound system wired up,central heating from the house plumbed in too, stainless steel skirting still to finnish and just need to get a ramp, will either go for a sissor lift or a maxjax, still undecided:dunno:
