This has in all likelihood been gone over 100s of times before, but bear with me.

Was looking for a source of spares for snap on 'ferret' ratchets, I'm only after the screws that hold the backplate on, as the ones on my recently acquired f70's are a bit chewed.

Would i be right in saying that snap on don't list any service parts for them now, and the later screws are different?

other than those I would love to get hold of one of the proper brass selector levers as one of my ratchets has previously had a kit fitted and has the later aluminum one, i know that its extremely unlikely I'll find one as they are long out of production, maybe i should try casting my own...

oh to stop this post being completely boring, here's a pic of my two f70's, plus the unusual zinc plated Durochrome/Indestro 2889 i picked up around the same time.

SO sent me a rebuild kit for my F70n about a month ago. It came with everything except the cover plate. Cover plate is no longer available. Mine was a little ovaled but after new internals and bushing it no longer has any play in it.

oh nice, i assumed that snap on didn't stock bits for them anymore, will have a word with my dealer, to see if he can get me the bits, don't need the whole kit as the pawl and gear etc are fine, back plate is in good condition too, not a huge issue if i have to order the whole kit though.

don't suppose you know what the part number for the kit was?

That's cool. I had no idea kits were still available for this model.

I have a 1940 that's sloppy so I guess a call to CS might be in order!
