Some one needs to snap this one up! is a hell of a good deal at the current price of $500. This is the top of the line compressor with pressure lubrication. looks clean too.

BTW I have no relation to the seller

Good luck

William....

I've had a QT-5 for nine years - excellent service. And I paid more than $500 for it even that long ago!

Only thing I notice is the 3-phase electric. Might want to question him on whether the motor can be wired for single-phase.

I have seen lots of Quincy pressure lubed compressors on ebay that are 3 phase, and they usually don't bring anywhere near what you would expect of a quality compressor. The reason is the 3 phase motors, that cannot be rewired to work on single phase. A replacement true 5 HP motor for the compressor is about $400 the last time that I priced them. I saw a horizontal Quincy with 2 2 stage pressure lubed heads, and two 5 HP 3 phase motors about a year ago, and it went for the opening bid of $750. I thought long and hard about just buying it and replacing only one motor, and swapping the other one with my Quincy compressor, and then selling mine as a 3 phase unit. I decided that as nice a unit it was, and the fact that it would be impossible to run it out of air, it just wasn't worth the hassle. I have never run mine out of air, since I work alone. It is 23 years old, and still looks and works like new. I paid $1400 for it back in 1985.
