Fabricating Seat Frames for '53 Chevy Convertible

So I bought a rusty, rusty, rusty '53 Chevy convertible some years back and slowly am restoring it. I rebuilt everything mechanical myself--261 engine, 3-speed trans, front susp. and rear end. Last summer I used a '53 Chevy sedan rear seat bottom and an unknown '53-'54 rear seat back to cut down for the convertible rear seat.

Here's the unknown '53-'54 seat back as I found it:
