Facebook Snap On groups Scams

I’m a member of several Facebook groups that lately have been posting deals that are too good to be true. All brand new Snap On tools for 1/4 or less of new. One example is a $3000 large wrench set for $500. I’ve noticed that all the posts on the groups are only being allowed by the group admins, I’m guessing so they can take down any posts or comments calling them out. They are using the same pictures of new Snap On items that they are “selling” across multiple groups with different peoples names. All who are admins of that group. These peoples profiles all seem to be less than 6 months old.

Perhaps Snap-on corporate would take up putting an end to this?

You can report groups to Facebook, but if they shut down and/or ban the individuals, I guess they'll make new groups and new profiles.

I think it’s time to leave those groups

I reported them to Facebook. It will be interesting to see what they do. I would imagine the people getting scammed will report them too. Probably get shut down and just start a new group. The old saying "if it seems too good to be true, probably is"! Hopefully they haven't scammed too many people.
