Facebook yardsales got to love them

A woman posted an old Wilton vice on my local Facebook yardsale page this morning. She had a bad pic. I messaged her. Finally figured out it was an old Schiller park 5" vise. I was at work and it was about an hour ride. She wanted $200 then later reduced to 150. Some guy started bashing it saying it was only worth $50. I had to step in to defend her. After several posts back and forth I compared a craftsman vise to a Chevy, and said a Wilton was a Ferrari. I explained that some people collect items and value them and I had a shelf at home with 10 vises on it. He then replied "you have a real problem" so I said "yes I do, but there are worse vices."

I know you guys will understand. Thanks to all the longtime members who have helped grow my collection/hobby/vice/addiction.

Good for you for helping the old gal out. I hate it when punks take advantage of older people--especially widows of old mechanics and machinists selling off their hubby's tools.

Way to go standing up for the lady. Most young bucks wouldn't know a good tool if it hit them over the head.

And I hear you about problems. I have several bad afflictions....one of them is called Bonney!
