I remember reading somewhere here that there's a slightly different insert for each ratchet head. Maybe it was about the 1/4" boxes, but even if so, the DBOXes might be the same. They do make a 1/2" DBOX with your extendable ratchet.
It was probably a reply I gave in response to a query in the Facom thread.
And yes, it was specifically about the 1/4” drive boxes. They supply these with numerous different ratchets so there’s a piece of plastic that snaps in to suit each ratchet.
Typical Facom attention to detail.
I don’t own a DBOX so not sure how they work, but I sort of view these sets as the “big brothers” of the Nano sets.
They certainly attempt to use space as efficiently.

To answer the O.P. - it would depend on the ratchets involved.
If you were switching say this -
for this -
then I am fairly sure that would work as the external shape is essentially the same. Facom offer the quick release ratchet as one of the many options anyway. Other ratchets might not substitute so easily. It looks as though there is an interchangeable part in the lid for a start.
For those unfamiliar with these sets, DBOX means “Detection” box as they are designed to show when a part is missing..
In practice, they’re a well designed compact box anyway.
I think that the version with the extendable ratchet is probably the ultimate minimalist set to include with a road box or carry in a vehicle.
In 3/8” drive.
Or 1/2”.
