Is there a source for facom tools in Canada? Or somewhere online with reasonable shipping. I just saw in another thread that the Mac ratcheting wrenches I have and love are made by them, and have been considering a couple more sets. Wouldn't mind checking out their pricing.

eBay, as best I know, or Ultimate Garage. I've used neither.

I've considered several ratchets and socket sets lately, but always ended up going with various North American makers instead... I think if Facom were still French-made-in-France I'd have picked up a lot more by now - there's something I like about the idea of French industry! I've heard such good things about their round heads, though, that I'm sure I'll end up with one or two in the not-so-distant future.

Many of the wrench styles have had their production moved out of France as well as some other items, but a large number of items are still made in France. This includes things like pliers and screwdrivers. A number of Facom items were outsourced to outside companies in France, and those companies still produce items for the brand. If you check the UltimateGarage website, the COO is listed for a number of items to give you an idea of what may still be produced in France.

Just wondering, are you sure no stores in Quebec carry the brand? French tool brands that aren't generally available seem to turn up there. Have you tried calling Stanley Tools and asking if anybody in Canada carries any Facom items? Alternately you could try seeing if any stores in Britain will ship to Canada. Facom seems to be somewhat common amongst some of the UK tool stores, and on Ebay UK. Since Canada is part of the Commonwealth importing tools might be easier.

Pliers and screwdrivers are 99% made in France. Ratchets and torque wrenches in Italy. Sockets and wrenches mostly from Taiwan. SD

Facom lists no Canadian distributor, so I kind of doubt it.

Facom is owned by Stanley. Some Facom tools are sold under Stanley brand names such as Blackhawk and Proto. I'm not even sure that Stanley changes the brand on the tool, the may just change the packaging. Stanley Supply and Services also ships internationally.

I have a Facom 3/8" drive long handle flex head. My most favorite ratchet ever. Also have 3/8 and 1/2 short handle. They are all fine tooth and very nice to use. Although I use the flex head most often. I have had them for about 15 years now with no complaint.
