I finally finished updating the Facom (and USAG) price list for 2018. Facom bumped up their pricing 3% across all items but recent exchange rates (ie, weak dollar vs Pound & Euro) have really impacted costs.

Facom had 2 major changes last year that resulted in many items being "discontinued"......the new 161B series or ratchets (replacing the old "palm control" ratchets) and a new line of M-Box tool cases (large/medium/small) replacing the old BP tool cases.

The new price sheet shows additional discounts (10-30%) on top of the already discounted pricing...limited to "in-stock" items only. There's an additional 2% for payment via QB QuickPay (vs cc or Paypal). Invoicing with discount pricing is done manually....the invoice will show the total with additional 2% discount which you can elect not to take if you're more comfortable with Paypal or credit cards. The $100 minimum order amount will be waived through 1/31/18 if you're only interested in a few small items.

I've also rolled in 150+ USAG items as many of these are identical to the Facom listings but at a lower price. Some of the USAG items are replacing the Facom products if the cost differential is significant....ie, USAG's 22" cantilevered tool box is $85 vs $155 for the Facom BT13A.

Here's the list.......... http://www.ultimategarage2.com/Facom-Inventory.xls

Drop me a line or give me a call if you have any questions.

I was just looking at their power tool rack last night, too rich for my blood but seems like a quality product.

If you were looking at their side cabinet for power tools, I think they put it out of its misery...among the many discontinued items going into 2018.

I brought one of these in a few years ago and it was really beat up by the time it got to me. I'm sure C-Tech might have something similar with better quality.

I'm looking at a 440 set SAE. Line item #1516 is Facom 440.JU17T for $235. (goes to 1-1/4")

USAG is cool with me. I see on your website the USAG 285 P/SE13 set is $170 (goes to 1") http://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/part.php?products_id=8562

Is the USAG kit on your Excel sheet for a different price? I do not see it.

Does USAG have a 17pc set like the Facom?

Thanks,

The 440.JU17T is $235 less an additional 15%.....$199.75 . The USAG items are all listed at promo pricing with no additional discounts. The 13pc set is USAG's largest fractional set....other sizes can be ordered individually if you need something outside of the kit....see http://usag.it/catalog/en/products/details/954/285_P/Combination_wrenches_inch_sizes .

Thanks! Ok, so I can order this on your website using Paypal http://www.ultimategarage.com/shop/part.php?cPath=35_61_70_344_1064&products_id=4738

And you will manually apply the discount? Or am I confused? Thanks again.

This item is setup in the online store....many on the list are not (yet). Order it online but indicate "Check/Money Order" as payment type. I'll adjust the price of the item(s) and the actual shipping cost and send you an invoice for the new total. You'll have various payment options.

Wrench set is $199.75 + $14.65 shipping (NJ to CA...Med Flat Rate Priority box) = $214.40. The invoice will show an additional 2% discount for "Pay Now" (ACH transfer) on a Quickbooks secure site....$210.11 or $214.40 for Paypal.

I think you need to blame Stanley B&D for this one..........here's a history of Britool I found online......

"The British Tool and Engineering Company – the company which founded the Britool brand – first started production in 1908 and Britool has been the number one choice for professional engineers ever since. Demand for the company’s products grew strongly between the wars and, during the Second World War, Britool was the principal supplier of tools to the British armed forces, supplying over 200 million wrenches, sockets and accessories. The widespread use of Britool products during the war brought the high quality of the brand’s products to the attention of a wider audience, significantly increasing market knowledge and making Britool the number one tightening tool brand in the UK. In 1991, in order to consolidate its position as a premier brand in one of the worlds most competitive markets, Britool joined forces with Facom, Europe’s largest hand tool manufacturer. The backing of such strong development facilities and vast technical expertise enabled Britool to maintain its position as the brand of choice for all areas of engineering – from aerospace to industry.

In 2006 Britool and the Facom Group merged with Stanley – the World’s largest supplier of tools. Backed by the industrial might and experience of Stanley, Britool began to develop into a more focused range for the industrial and automotive professional.

In 2010 Stanley merged with Black and Decker to create the world’s largest hand and power tool company, Stanley Black and Decker. Around this time, to best meet the needs of the professionals it serves, the company created the Industrial and Automotive Repair division.

Britool has evolved into Britool Expert – the new range of hand tools from the Industrial and Automotive Repair division of Stanley Black and Decker. This new range builds on the heritage that the Britool brand represents to its millions of users and delivers a more comprehensive range of hand tools designed to meet the developing needs of today’s user…The needs of today’s EXPERTS.

This new, mid-price range has been designed to meet these needs and requirements using specifications produced by Stanley Black and Decker’s Industrial and Automotive Repair research and development department. At the same time, it has also been produced to meet all current international standards such as ISO and DIN."

Facom circlip pliers are labeled "compression" or "expansion."

Most other circlip plier brands are labeled internal, external, or convertible.

So would the the 177A.18 circlip pliers be for internal, or external snap rings?

for external (outside) snap rings....tips expand as handle is squeezed to open the snap ring for R&R. See https://catalogue.facom.com/uk-en/c...-straight-nose-outside-circlip-pliers/177a-18 .
