Does anyone know if these are still available (in/to the UK)? I can't seem to find them anywhere, so wondering if they've been discontinued.

Thanks,

Cheers for that. £17 with VAT and shipping though :wtf:

****** hell..... So thats over 6 Quid for delivery, maybe give them a ring and have a
word. Mr Candy is a great chap and I have spent £1000's with him over the years and
he has always delivered for me. My guess is, they just have a flat rate delivery system on
the website, so I would definitely ring them. Couldn't hurt. Good luck.

I might give that a try. I've had a good experience with the few orders I've placed with them before. It's a shame about their website though -really difficult to navigate, sort, and search. Even though it seems they've just sunk a bunch of time and money into it, it's not much improved.

Might want to ask Steve D, he may have some. His username is Ultgar here, his site is www.ultimategarage.com

But another huge thumbs up for Primetools in the UK. They have adjusted their shipping quote for me a couple times, but I'm across the pond. YMMV.

Thanks for the comments guys!
Firstly, as suggested our site does have an automatic carriage charge for all orders under £65.00 in value. However, we are always happy to take orders for small postable items by phone and charge a more realistic price! (The Facom TAGs will go in a small jiffy bag).
Also, apologies to our regular and new customers who have experienced problems with our new website, which has had a disasterous start, with the Product Category system failing. This has now at last been rectified and all products should now appear in the relevent categories.
We will be continuing to improve and develop the site over coming months and welcome suggestions and comments. It has been a hard struggle, with 2 developers going bust part way through, one who admitted they couldnt support the number of products just before launch and we have now gone back to use the local lad who built our original site as a school project 10 years ago...better the devil you know!

Just placed the order with Prime Tools. I don't normally openly promote companies that I've placed orders with, but as they've been good enough to respond to this thread I'll make the exception.

I fired off an email regarding the tags and a couple of other questions. I received a prompt reply from Julian and after a phone call and a brief but pleasant chat the deal is done :)

I'm looking forward to the tags -if they're as useful as I hope then I plan to bling-out the rest of my sockets.

:thumbup::thumbup: and a big thanks to Prime Tools.

Here is a couple of pics of my 1/4" and 3/8" metric drawer and my 1/2" metric drawer.
Sorry about the rubbish mobile phone pics. I love these tags, so easy to get
the socket you want and they encourage you to keep your tools clean too.

I've had mine for a couple of years now, bought them from PrimeTools

Very nice! :) I envy the trays. I'm behind, but catching up:

1/4" drawer. Facom, Britool, Ko-ken speed handle and 1/2" hex bit sockets, and a small ~cough~ Halfords set.
View media item 22139
3/8" drawer. More Facom, Britool, Toptul, some random Ko-ken sockets and a Gedore speed handle (rubbish, but at least it was cheap).
View media item 22140
1/2" drawer. All Facom and Britool
View media item 22141
Now I've done a nice job of derailing my own thread :)

to the guys with facom sockets: whats your experience if you have a bolt/nut stuck within the socket. Now I normally take a punch or sth. similiar and kick it out but what to do when a socket is sealed. Of course you can screw the nut back on and pull on the socket but this is not often very handy.

It's not actualy sealed - just a thin plastic label that sits inside. They come in a sheet like so:

I'm not sure you can hi-jack your own thread....

That's a nice tool collection you have there. I thought about getting the J.174
long handle ratchet, but as I have the long handle flex ratchet I didn't know
what it would be useful for.

No need to cough at Halfords Professional tools, really good stuff. One of the
few things that got absolutely right. Every bit as good as Bluepoint for way
less than half the price. I actually prefer my Halfords pro screwdrivers over
the hundreds of pounds worth of Facom ones I have, and all of my 12 point
sockets are Halfords pro.

I also have a full set of Britool 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" socket sets that I keep in
the car toolbox and a 3/4" Britool pre "expert" socket set that I really like too.
The new Britool expert range of tools I will be giving a miss though, it's a
shame Stanley have ruined the Britool name with these.

Here's a few more (crappy) pics of the rest of Facom stuff...... If you don't
want to see these pics here, just let me know and I'll remove them.

Facom 4mm - 34mm 440 series spanner set

Facom Protwist Screwdrivers

Facom Pliers and Cutters

Facom 6mm - 24mm Offset and Half Moon Spanners

Facom 6mm - 24mm Reversable offset Ratchet Spanners and Flare nut Spanners

Facom 6mm - 19mm Straight, Stubby and Flex Head Ratchet Spanners

Britool 3/4" socket set + 6 point and 12 point AF sockets

is that just a press fit or hold in with a magnet/glue?

I definatly have to label my stahlwille 1/4" sockets. Its an absolut nightmare to identify them.

Not at all -gives me something to aim for :)

I've got some Facom 440, 40R, 467 and 467S spanners, but only up to 24mm in the larger sets. I've got some of the 75 socket wrenches as well. I'd love to get some of the larger sizes, but a bit too rich for me so I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the bargains.

I have Facom screwdrivers and Halfords screwdrivers too. The Halfords are fantastic value (I have a coupel sets), but I did break the tip on a PZ2 when turning by hand. I might have got a dud, but in any case they exchanged it without any trouble. They're not the best fit in my hand though, and I was looking for a better set of screwdrivers when I found this forum, purchased the Facoms and started down this path of spending on pricier tools (I was pretty content with my mixed-drive Halford's socket set before that).

Just spotted the swivel sockets - are they Facom, or SK or....?

Any photos of all the Facom cabinets Rico?

Ha..! No I don't.... I can show you photos of Facom stickers on two tripple
banks of Halfords Professional toolboxes though... All my money went on
the tools and I'm a little bit reluctant to spend big money on a toolbox when
all it has to do is hold my tools and stay in one place. I have had my eye on
a Snap-On 53" tripple bank roll cab and top chest, so maybe one day... but
for my needs it would just be a massive extravagance.

Well you had me fooled! :lol_hitti

Strange why Facom don't do the big boxes like Snap On do.

There are a few nice Beta special edition ones going about that seem reasonable, but like you say i'd rather spend on tools.

Just checked out your website and can confirm all is well, much better than the previous one now the problems have been ironed out.

Thanks Plumber84!
We still have a lot to do with the new website and our guy is charging too much to work here full-time! But we should get the search "by stock code" working this weekend and gradually make the listings more concise. Also, we have managed to lose even more images in the changeover, so the lads here will be busy for some time!
We hope to add brochure and catalogue downloads soon and about 10,000 more products over the coming months.

Wish you all the best with it...

The Tags (2 sets) arrived today. Brilliant things and I'm amazed they're not promoted more (by Facom), or more easily available. Also amazed they're not made (AFAIK) for SAE, Torx sockets etc.

Anyhow each set has enough tags to label both a 1/4" set (to 14mm) and a 1/2" set (to 34mm) -so there are doubles of sizes 8-14mm. Of course you can also choose to label 3/8" sockets with them.

I'm pleased enough with them that I plan to order another 2 or 3 sets (once I figure out how many I need to finish my metric sockets.
