I just ordered one of these and am thinking the $150 was pretty steep. Just wondering if any of the die hard Facom lovers have gotten this light? It looks really handy and lately it seems that my #1 problem in the garage is always bad lighting. Maybe just getting old. :eyecrazy: Thanks

If we are talking about the Facom LED lamp 779 like the one in the picture below, a friend of mine has got one.

He says it is very good (although expensive) because the light intensity remains the same for the advertised (five I think) hours of operation. He also commented that the light is not extremely bright, but sufficient for all tasks. When the battery is almost drained the light blinks rapidly every *** minutes, to indicate that you have to recharge it. Its is also very solid quality-wise he said.
I am curious who makes this LED lamp for Facom

Or you could buy 3 of these (for the price of the facom):

got it from the SO guy for about $70. Pretty good light. came with std and car charger too. Can't seem to find it in the catalog though.

They don't seem to have a us distributor, but do make the blue point light from snappy

Hi I did get my Facom and it seems pretty good. It is smaller than I expected, but it will work really well when I am in the engine bay or tight spots and having so many ways to use it is great too, you have magnetic, it can hook, and also stand up on its own, but the flex head helps. Hopefully it lasts but I am happy right now!
