Facom Ratchet Mod

I don't think this specific (Facom) mod has been done here before, but has obviously been done with other ratchets. I got the idea to do this from an article posted in the Nepros thread, so no credit due to me apart from the 5 minutes of work.

Anyhow, pretty straight forward; if there's anything not apparent in the photos, feel free to ask.

I started with a Facom R.161 (1/4") and a J.161 (3/4"):

Now I have a mini 3/8" Facom round-head , and err.... a "long reach" 1/4" drive

That is cool! You can't just get a 3/8" rebuild kit and put in the 1/4" ratchet? But a high leverage 1/4" ratchet might be useful some day

Probably, but I happened to have a surplus of Facom ratchets so I thought I'd just swap for now. I'll likely buy the parts to put the 3/8" back to normal when I have time.

LOL I love it. I don't know if it is practical, but it is cool. I quess in a sense this can substitite having a stubby 3/8'' ratchet for automotive work. Very nice pictures too!
