Hello All.

I am new to this fantastic forum:)
Not a "serious" collector, but just love the look and feel of vintage tools. The fact there is rust and wear, is for me only a positive side as this proves durability and quality:)
Read and learn a lot, thank you for all the knowledge being shared here!

I have a partially complete Facom ratchet/socket set I would like to know more of.
From a catalog picture I found online, I have identified the set as S.90_95
I am missing the box insert, the rachet, ca 7pcs sockets (inches) and the short extension.

I would appreciate if someone could help me with dating the set, and maybe someone have the parts I am missing?

The set is illustrated in the bottom here.

Thank you!

You can use prnt dot sc to create image url.

Open the image in the Chrome browser, press the prntsc key on your keyboard, and open prnt dot sc and press Ctrl + V ....... then you will be able to see the image url that you can post here.

send me the pics and I can try to help. I have hard cover catalogs going back to 1992 and some digital versions before that. I don't recognize the part number but S means 1/2" drive .

Hello Ultgar. First of all, I am new enthusiast in the forum. I really like the old Facom tools from the 80s, I mean the one with the ISORYL handles. In the future, I want to collect more of them, but I really want to find the catalog from 1987, because it will help me to identify the right tools and fullfill my collection. As you know, the only problem is I can't find this catalog in the web. I can't find it on paper too, because I am from Bulgaria and this is a real problem for me, especialy now, in the pandemic. This is why I am asking you for help, if you have a digital (pdf) version of it. I will be very thankfull.
Thank you in advance. Greetings from Bulgaria.
P.S. Sorry for my bad english...

nedsena - they still make most of those screwdrivers. They don’t promote them heavily, but they’re still available, and still made in France - assuming you mean the orange Isoryl.

I quite like them also. The shape is very practical and they are durable too.

Here’s one of mine : -

Thank you for the information Dave455. It's good to know this. Also I am happy to hear it. As a matter of fact, my passion is related more with the vintage tools, especially from the 80s and from Facom, you know. It's more from the santimental side and from the nostalgia about the past, when the tings were different.

I do understand.

I first encountered Facom in that era and it was different to most of the products from other manufacturers. Not only functional, but stylish too.

If I had known how good it was I’d have bought more.

Here in the U.K. Facom tends to be good value used. It’s generally not stupidly priced like used Snap On, but you’re getting top quality tools.
