I've started an online newsletter which will be updated on an ongoing basis with info on Facom tools....new and discontinued items, maintenance and service tips, price changes and general commentary.

If you have any good pictures of your own Facom tools in action (or nicely stored in your tool bag or box), I'd be happy to add them to the newsletter.

See http://www.ultimategarage.com/Facom/facomnews.html .

Whats the trend that you're seeing in the COO of Facom tools? Last I'd heard it sounded as if they were beginning to shift their production at least on some tools back to Europe?

I suspect it was lack of sales. They weren't the easiest to come by even over here in the UK and were never advertised unlike the standard Palm control ratchets.

The replacement is horribly bulky and nowhere near as elegant a design.

I'm not seeing any trend back to Europe. I've noticed that when Facom introduces a new tool, the first few production runs are in France. After that, the items seem to be moved to Taiwan to control costs.

With controlled costs, I'm starting to see price drops any many items. If you look through my inventory list, items with a "*" next to the part number have recently (ie, in 2016) been repriced at a lower cost which has been rolled through to the consumer.

If you're located in Europe, its cheaper to buy Facom in France or mainland Europe (Euro pricing) as the UK pricing is considerably higher on many items.
