factory reconditioned batterys

I got a bunch of the craftsman 19.2v tools and they work great for all my projects. My nicd batterys are getting old and I was thinking about upgrading to the new lithium ones. There pretty expensive new, but I see a couple companys selling them on ebay for a good price but there all reconditioned ones. Has anybody ever tried these and are they worth it or am i just better off forking out the dough and buying new ones? thx

It depends on what "Reconditioned" means. If they removed and replaced the old batteries inside with new, then I'd say it's probably worth a try.
