:wtf::wtf: That almost doesn't even cover the concrete cost here!

I did a 14x24 slab a few months ago and it was $2500 "cash deal" The concrete was $122/yard and the pour took 7 yards.

Put wire mesh and about 200ft of #5 rebar in it as well.

That mix of concrete around here is about $95 a yard. Including Labor and things like rebar / forms / vapor barrier alot of places will rough estimate at twice the cost of the concrete. 36x48 is 1728 square feet. Figure 6" deep gives you 864 cubic feet. Converted to yards that is 32 cubic yards. Figure $190 a yard (95+95) you are at about 6k not including the rat wall or any site prep required.

I had my floor done in fall of '08. Size 30x48 (1440 sq ft). Mason charged me $1300 labor.

The $1300 price included: he helped a little bit with site prep (compacting, spreading gravel). He installed 6"x8" concrete block around perimeter on top of floor. He brought over the 20' rebar needed for the footings.

He did a great job. (35 years experience) I get many favorable comments on it. Looks good, and no cracks yet. He is a one-man operation, no crew to pay, and I was available to help him.
If you're going to have electrical in your barn make sure you check to see if your ground wire has to be hooked to a 20' piece of rebar in footing.

I just did a 30' x 22' pad in front of my garage that is 6+ inches thick. My Dad and I along with a couple of friends did all the prep work. It has a 9 -10" base of 21A crushed limestone, 1/2" rebar and wiremesh, we formed it up. It took 14 yards of cement - 6 sack with fibermesh @ $97 per yard. He charged me $1.00 sq ft ($660) to pour and finish All total it cost just under $3000.
