An acquaintance of mine is selling his 4 post backyard buddy lift and, since I'm in need of a 4-post lift, I'm interested in it. The lift was purchased January 2017, and is a lightly-used 7000lb, 110V model and includes two drip pans. The original invoice was $5295, which I believe included delivery and installation. The invoice also lists $300 for an “RJP” option (not sure what that stands for).

No price was given -just "make me a reasonable offer". So what do these go for in used condition?

Thanks!

Lift prices have risen dramatically in the past five years.

Go to the BB website (they’re owned by Advantage now), and get the current price, less installation. Offer him 60% of that.

Locally there is a 8,000 pound Challenger two post lift for sale for $1,500 with no bites, and another place has ten 9,000 or 10,000 pound, a mix of Challenger and Bend Pack two post lifts for sale for $2800. Neither place looks like they are selling.

I’d guess that the “RJP” is a Rolling Jack Platform, a bridge between the runways to jack against. I’d agree with finn, and ask what he says about $3K.

Less than a year ago I bought two Ammco (Challenger) lifts for $800 from a Lincoln dealership that was renovating. I sold one and kept the other, they both work great. It was a bit of a pain as I had to be there with trailer as they were being removed. I think they typically go for ~ $1,500 ea, but they didn’t have to transport, unload, store, or advertise these. If I could have gotten them unloaded quick enough, I’d have gone back for more.
