I've got about 150 feet of #4 awg stranded aluminum quadplex wire (4 conductor, 3 hots and insulated ground), rated for 600v, direct burial or conduit, left over after wiring my shop:

It's still on the spool, just taking up my space in my shop, figured I'd put it up on Craigslist and see if anybody wants it, I just don't know what the going rate is per foot for that type of wire.

Any ideas? I'm not looking to make a fortune off of it, but I don't exactly want to give it away.

Yeah thats 4/0 NOT #4! Big difference.

And i dont see any insulation markings other than USE-2. Also, the yellow stripe is a dead giveaway that its URD. If thats all its rated for then it cant go inside...however the rest of the label couldve been past the cut....

Does it have any other markings on it? Take a pic of a section where the label isnt cut off...

And thats NOT an insulated ground. EGC/ground would be green. That is neutral and quadraplex is for 3-phase underground service lateral...

Not good for much other than an underground feeder that would have to be spliced to something else such as MHF....

Yes, all correct. My bad, I typed that without really paying attention. It is 4/0, and that is a neutral. Used the roll to run 100 amp service from my meter/disconnect box on the pole a few hundred feet underground in conduit back to my shop.

So, that being said, what is the unused/leftover worth?

That stuff costs around $3/ft at the places Ive checked.

I would call some local suppliers and see what they charge by the foot!

When I wired my genset I checked the local supply houses THEN I went on ebay & found exactly what I needed at about 1/2 the price. It's a good place for a reality price check.

I never thought about eBay.

I finally got a good look at the spool and the cable jacketing, it's 4/0-4/0-4/0-2/0 URD Wake Forest, found some lengths on eBay a little over $3/ft. Guess I'll put it on CL (Austin) for a couple hundred and see who's interested locally.

Thanks for the help and info, guys.
