I have a chance to buy a 1" drive snap-on set, consisting of..
Ratchet Head
29" Ratchet Handle
Cheater bar, I believe 36"
1" Impact Swivel
and these sockets
1 7/16, 1 1/2. 1 5/8, 1 11/16, 1 3/4, 1 13/16, 1 7/8. 2. 2 1/8. 2 3/16, 2 1/4, 2 15/16

All the sockets have been well used but not abused,
whats a fair price for them? 50% of new retail.? less?
The ratchet head is NOT the new sealed type.

Here is a picture of the lot

Personally I wouldn't give more than 20-25% of new. Beyond that buy them new from Proto or Armstrong or Williams for pretty close to what that set costs at 50% off.

I wouldn't mind the ratchet and swivel but would pass on the sockets, being 12pt, they wouldn't be that great to have imo. If I were you, I would go 30-35% at the most if you would actually use them.

I saw those for sale on craigslist...if you have a use for tools that big you ought to jump on them, it was a hell uva deal. I looked at them a couple of times but just cannot justify anything bigger than the 3/4 drive set I already have.

If you are going to use them, 1/3 of retail is fair. 20% of retail would be "YOU ****".

Half of retail is high.

Thinking about it some more I wouldn't go for more than 10% of retail on 1" drive stuff unless I had to have it. For the occasional use buy the HF set for less $150 new and upgrade the what nots as you find them cheap.
