Here is the second saw that was a gift from the boss man. Same as before, his neighbor was getting rid of them after a garage sale. Cursory search results seem to indicate Fairbanks Ward sold re-branded merchandise. I haven't used this one as much as the Craftsman I posted, but did a function check. Man, these old tools are pretty neat! I think the bug has bitten, now I'm in the process of obtaining an old Craftsman Sabre jig saw and a Yankee 31A ratcheting screwdriver from Craigslist

That's a nice big one too. I have several vintage electrical tools from craftsman, some work some need repaired. Its awesome to fix them though especially if they are cheap or free.

Forgot to mention this saw has a 5 1/4" blade.

More research hasn't turned up much info on Fairbanks Ward. I see pictures of a drill that has attachments for turning it into a small table saw, circular saw, and drill press. Not much info the web about them.

Interesting. I picked up an old stanly handyman planer that looks like it has the same motor housing sticking out the side. Does the saw just clamp to the motor?

Mine is a stand-alone circular saw. The other Fairbanks Ward tools I've seen attach to a drill.
