Not in the shop but I used 2x8 spruce log siding from Maynards.It's been almost 10 yrs ago so my rememberer is a might fuzzy but it wasn't bad to install.One thing I would do different if I did it over is to use untreated 4x4s on inside corners to avoid coping them.You will need to be creative as to how to install recept/switch cover plates......cope pieces to fit over the logs to give a flat surface or machine a flat into the siding.
I chose spruce over cedar because cedar started out real dark and was only going to get darker and we wanted a lighter color.
I ripped down #2 pine for trim and made a cover for a steel door from #2 pine that I ship lapped and added pieces to look like re-inforcements.
I doubt pics would show much plus there is too much foofoo around anywho
