You guys know snap on the best I do know Kennedy boxes
to a great extent. This deal just sounds to good to be true.
Its a Craigslist buy, hes asking 1,000 US

Fake or real box? Worried for the price it looks to good with
the paint and all. As well as the grammar.

Thanks for the input.

Thanks HaroRider for the input.

I cant even find one similar I do find some things, but again snap on boxes
not my field.
How do i find out or know the details? There should be a serial number
on this box to research correct? But finding an older box and dimensions/stats
another story.

My last tool box was one of those. That sounds like a pretty good deal. I think i paid about $2500 for mine new, but that was almost 10 years ago. I regret selling it. It would've made a perfect box for the house, but I needed the money to put towards my current box.

Just because it's really a Snap On, doesn't mean it's not really a scam, just sayin'.

I agree with bobcatdan, my Matco guy is storing one just like that at work. He's sure not asking only $1000.

Try using searchtempest.com with some specific keywords from the ad, see if it's listed (or flagged as spam) in a bunch of other cities. I see one every week or so, but it's usually **** like a KRL1023 for $2000 or something equally ridiculous.

ok, does he specify 1000 US? if so, that is a known tactic of overseas Nigerian scammers... give you a item to good to be true.... bait you, then get your credit cards and any other info they can....

I had a box similar to that. Mine didn't have the full length top drawer. It took about 6 weeks on craigslist to get $1000. It is a decent box though.
