Fan control

I have a wall mounted fan I want to put in the garage, which has a pull chain off/low/medium/high switch. Can I use a 3 speed fan wall switch on this fan to avoid using the pull chain? The fan just needs to be set to highest speed with the pull chain? Thanks.

It might work. All ceiling fans that use remotes and wall switches to control their speeds work the way you described.

The switches are not that expensive. Give it a try and see what happens!
