These used to be a thing. But I don’t hear much about them anymore.

My Slinger V2 model stopped working. It’s about 8 foot or so fan with nine blades. It never worked great. It would shut off after a while on its own. And the air movement was mediocre. But still, I got the job done.

I made the mistake of running it on high speed for a couple of days. It’s been hot and I’ve been stuck at home. Looks like I burned out the control board.

Looking around, this is not uncommon. Try to get a hold of fanimation, but they’re non-responsive and the part doesn’t seem to be available anywhere.

Too bad. I hate to throw the whole thing away. Do you think there’d be a way to run this thing directly from a wall switch without all the fragile electronics,

Depends how much the fan is worth saving to you.

You need to know what the receiver is doing with voltage. It's AC in and a DC motor.

The first two pics are just the LED light kit, not the receiver. The receiver should be under the ceiling trim piece. Might be able to find more info on it or the motor itself to find the motor voltages.
