So I'm wanting to add fans for the garage to get the air moving. Almost done with the mezzanine. Building is 30x40 with 14'+ ceiling. If you were to put fans in there where would you put them? Just two 60" ones in the middle in the open area? I kind of was thinking about putting some 42" ones above each side of the mezzanine since the left side will be a row of hobby tables for RC planes and models while the right side will be a couch and TV lounge in front of the steps. I would put a fan control for the inner and outer ones.

Second big *** fans. If you have the cash its great. Expect to spend 2 or 3k tho.

But more down to earth pricing would be home depots 84 inch fan for around 200 bucks. 2 of those in thr middle area and then at least 1 smaller 40ish over the rc table and the couch. (Jealous) also look into finding a used furnace squurl cage blower. Can really move a ton of air for cheap (probably free if you look hard) and can be put on wheels to move with you. They are loud tho. Never underestimate the power of a cheap box fan either especially near that couch. I assume your gonna run AC? Still fans make a huge difference if your running above 74 degrees.

No way in hell I'd spend that much on a fan. I was looking at some of these and the controller. Metal blade industrial ceiling fans. Menards can order them. They come in white, silver or black. Don't know if I need reverse but speed adjustment is nice.

Reverse is nice to have in the winter.

eh, just use normal direction in the shop

reverse during heating season is just so you can move air without the discomfort of it blowing on you in the winter, it's not actually better for heat

Get that industrial fan from menards. I did and it came with the wall controller for like 50 bucks total. Doesn't have reverse but like was said don't think it is needed.
