would like to add a couple of fans to move air in the volunteer warehouse. it's about 1200 sqft without the ( air conditioned) lunch room and storage closet etc. We have 1 overhead fan at the one end of the warehouse that works well for the first third of the space. Want to add 2 more , but I'm wondering if wall mounted osculating fans would be any better than the overhead paddle blade commercial fans. we keep the doors open when it's hot, and if there's a breeze we're lucky & get a good cross breeze, but for those sticky, still days we need something more .
any thoughts welcome.
thanks

I'll third the Big *** Fan. I've installed a handful and they can be set to light comfortable breeze or set to feel like you're under a helicopter if needed.

You'd need some decent sized wall fans to make a breeze feel decent unless you have an air inlet behind them and an exhaust across the room. They'll also be much louder than a large slow ceiling fan.

Wall mounted air circulators work, but as mentioned above, they're definitely louder than a large ceiling fan. Large ceiling fans will create a flicker effect if mounted below your overhead lighting though, so there are trade offs. I have a couple of 30" circulators in my 1800 sq ft shop that are capable of turning it into a wind tunnel when cranked up, but I hardly use them now that I've installed a mini-split.

I picked up a 30" drum fan today. working quite good. probably add a second. and even tho they're meant to have wheels and be mobile,I think I'll mount them to the wall up high & out of the way. floor space and storage space is at a premium

I was going to suggest Big *** Fans. Great for large areas.

We have one of their Haiku fans. Same company, but aimed at the residential market. Top notch. Great build quality. Dead silent.
