I want to buy a good fan to move the air in my garage addition that is nearing completion (1770' with 12'ceiling height). I want a fan that is mobile and would be 30-36". I see a bunch of them in the Northern Equipment catalog. However, the freight charges are high ($86 to ship to me on one fan.) Where is a good place to buy a good fan?
Thanks for any help.

Not a ceiling fan, right? I have a pretty big floor standing fan (adjustable pole height) that I got used at auction. Is this something like what you're looking for?

That's right. I was wondering if Home Depot or Lowe's carries fans. I want one that sits on the floor, has wheels to move about. I know that Grainger's has fans. If you buy from them do you have to pay for freight or do you go to their place of business to pick up (there is a store close to me.).
Thanks

No you can go to the store and pickup. Just have the part number handy before you go.

I think I seen some in Sam's Club the other night, might be larger, may 4ft. I would try Home Depot too. Or go to a hardware store like Ace or True Valve and see if they can order you one. Most of those places have shippments from their warehouse weekly. You might not have to pay additional shipping.

My Lowes carries big A$$ industrial fans with wheels like you are describing. I think they were about $150 , they had a pedestal mount as well like the ones used at my Chasis Dyno place for like $180

YMMV but I have found that you definitely get what you pay for with those fans and the amount of air they will move, can't go wrong with a Patton fan.

Thanks for the responses. Where do they sell 'Patton' fans?
