I don't think so. FastCap does this a lot with new product introductions to get them out to people. They'll probably just run out at some point and deactivate the code.

Probably wouldn't replace a ratchet strap......... But if you're looking for one I highly recommend this retractable ratchet strap. No more mess and easy to use!

I didn't even notice that when I watched the video but it is plain as day that the "bowties" in the background are just red wood blocks with knots in both ends of the rope !

I already ordered a set of the bowties. Not sure how or where I'll use them, but its a great idea and will come in handy somewhere.

Thank you. I'm constantly using duct tape and bungees on loads for a red flag and to keep small items from wiggling out of a bundle. These should be perfect. I'll likely go back for a 2nd set at full price if they work.

Huh... It is such a weird little thing. I think? I'm using it correctly. It does hold pretty strong and is fast to put on and off.

For the $3 shipping, and the fact that these actually look like they will work (aren't gimmicky), might as well try them. Looks useful. Not too used to that from the whole home game inventor crowd that invents things like the spin wrench and bionic wrench.

It's a simple design, wonder if it was inspired by putting a piece of rope around something, then taking a stick and using it to twist the rope to tighten it, and tuck the end of the stick in so it doesn't all unravel. Same kind of theory, but much easier to use more likely.
