fastenal stuff...rock river

I ordered a set of Bondhus felo screwdrivers the other day at work from the fastenal guy. Company supplies tools and uses fastenal exclusively. I was gonna get Kleins or something that range but decided to go for broke and see if they'd get me the felo's. I always wanted to try that style of handle. Of course what arrived was a much cheaper set of tiawan made rock river drivers. I will say they do seem halfway decent so far. The handle is like the wera's, felo's etc. Not exact I imagine and probably not same compounds. I was wondering if anyone happen to know who produces them?

They are mostly imported from China by whatever contractor works out a deal for that lot. They are usually average for hand tools. Some of the nylon bags are pretty decent, and I believe the drill bits and taps were coming from Norseman. I believe the hole saws were old design Lennox. This is all relevant to a few years ago, as they could easily have changed sources by now. They do that a lot on their house brands.

Yeah that makes sense. Only used a few things from them. My particular box has all gearwrench for drive tools and channellocks for pliers. I got lucky. Only thing I've used so far of theirs was some water pump type pliers and now these screwdrivers. Neither were horrible but not great either. Pliers kinda reminded me of the walmart style stanleys. The screw drivers seem pretty decent. Though having never used that style handle before though I find it very strange. I have a set of gearwrench hard handles in my box and though they feel a little on the cheap side I must say I have become very attached to the handles.

If you ordered Felo's why & how did you get the Rock Rivers?? (House Brand)...I just got the 17pc Felo set w/Wall Rack for a very good price from Fastenal.
