Hi All-

Is anyone familiar with this *** bolt/binding barrel? I don't have the other end, but the head measurements are the same. I couldn't find them on grainger, but maybe I'm using the wrong search terms? The thread size is some measurement between 6-8mm. My tap & die set does not include anything in the 7mm range, so I don't know for sure.

I tried searching T7 barrel bolt, but no luck on that either.

We use those at work. I've always known them as FRP (fiberglass reinforced plywood) bolts/nuts but doubt that is their proper technical name. They were used on commercial trailers way back when the walls were literally plywood with fibreglass sheeting over top for reinforcement and protection from weather.

Is there and chance they are a machine screw/stove bolt thread size?

**Edit**

Apparently they are called FRP bolts/nuts.

They at larger the 1/4 and smaller the 5/16.

Mr. Smoke, the are for the door/ ramp of an old toy hauler. So what you are saying makes sense.

Yes, also very common to see them on the ramps of smaller enclosed trailers. As for the thread pitch, the only thing that would make sense to me is machine screw if M6, M8, ¼" and 5/16" all don't fit. I've never heard of or seen M7 but I deal with SAE 99% of the time.

Thanks everyone. I think you have put me on the right search path. FRP bolt search lead to Camtainer nut and bolt systems used in trucks and trailers. This is a 40' class a motor home with a garage in the back.

Who is the OEM of the trailer?
Might be able to order the fasteners from them.
