Hi there,

I'm trying to clean up my 1745 and I'm having trouble finding new fasteners. There are three kinds:

• The three small philips M5-0.8 x 15mm screws which hold in the horseshoe washer. They have a 7.3mm diameter head, which is very small, and I'm having trouble finding replacements. Anything with a larger diameter head looks as though it wouldn't fit.

• The four button socket screws that hold in the jaws. I think they might be M7-1.25 x 18mm, but I'm not sure because I don't have an M7 measurer. I can't find these anywhere.

• The two button socket screws that hold in the pipe jaws. I think they might be M7-1.25 x 12mm, but I'm not sure because again I don't have an M7 measurer. I also can't find these anywhere.

Can anyone confirm or deny the specs of these fasteners, and additionally can anyone tell me where they can be purchased? (The horseshoe washer and jaws are just fine, so I don't need to replace those.)

Thanks very much.

Hi Dunstan
Horseshoe is 10/32. All wilton horseshoe screws are 10/32 from the beginning of time. Jaws are 1/4". I'm not sure of the head, Some take the button type for proper clearance. The Pipe jaws are 1/4" could either be cap, fillister, etc. Local hardware for everything and bring a top jaw with you.
Footnote...That's just going by memory.
