I have a large amount of fasteners for sale. Mostly grade 8, but also grade 5, grade 2, and stainless. Approximately 5,000 LBS at the moment. I'm selling these at 1/2 wholesale price, no minimums (within reason).

I'll post a full inventory when I have it. In the mean time, if anyone is interested in anything, drop me an email. I can also put together assortments to match what fastenal, mcmaster, an any internet retailer sells, and beat their prices by 50% or more.

I'm in the chicago area. I just bought out a small industrial fastener supply company's fastener inventory :D

Shipping on most items should be reasonable--USPS has a flat rate box that is not weight limited!

Damn I'm tired. I weighed, inventoried, and stacked 2,500 lbs of stock last night.

I should be done with it sometime this weekend.

Right you are on the shipping.. I doubt I could cram 70lbs in one of those boxes, unless I filled with lead anyway!

I'll post a list as soon as it is complete. The stuff I've cataloged so far is almost all grade 8 in SAE sizes 1/4 through 1-1/4, both coarse and fine. I still have a whole truckload to go through, so we'll see what else there is.

Don't mean to nudge into this thread but I've probably got about 2000-3000 head cap screws for 3/8's. A pretty high ASTM rating. Aircraft quality. Most 2" and some 2.5".
All black oxide. I don't remember if fine or medium-coarse thread. But I could check it out. Also some chrome. I'd let them go super cheap as well. Either USA or Taiwan.

I just bought some big bolts the other day ! too late.. I needed them right away anyway. :) I could buy assorted sizes to have for when I need them. If their cheap enough, I'm thinking smaller SAE sizes.. 1/4, 5/16, 3/8's grade 5-8 in assorted lengths... along with washers, lock washers, nuts.

I could see them before, but I had them linked to another forum on which I'm a member, so it makes sense that you couldn't see it, because it won't show you pics unless you're logged in. I've moved them to my site and relinked them here. they should now show up for everyone.

I'll come up with a comprehensive price list after I finish inventorying everything, which should be done by tomorrow...

but figure grade 8 hex bolts, nuts, and washers will be $2/lb. that will buy you five 1/2x3" bolts for $2.

for reference, fastenal charges $13.10 for 10 of these.

http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0115215

other products, such as socket screws and lock nuts will be a bit more expensive, I haven't figured the prices yet. grade 5 stuff will be $1.75/lb.

Fastenal: http://www.fastenal.com/web/products/detail.ex?sku=0115215

here is typical per/lb pricing: http://www.slipstreamhover.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=HRD-BLT-ENG

quantity discounts will certainly be available.

I will post a spreadsheet that figures the each price based on the weight when I'm done to save on the headache of trying to calculate everything.

would anyone be interested in grade 2 stuff for $1/lb? I have bolts in most sizes from 1/4 to 1-1/4, plus the nuts to go with them. I know my grade 5 stuff has holes in the nut area, these may be a descent substitute and will be cheaper.

let me know and I'll post up a listing.

I don't think I can do free shipping, but I can do 10% off orders of 100lbs or more. anything with much more weight than that, we can talk.

BTW I can get just about anything people want, but the prices will be a bit higher, say 50% more than on my pricelist. still a good bit cheaper than regular channels. this includes grade 8 and 5 stuff in sizes missing from this lot, standard and metric SHCS in steel and stainless, etc....A minimum order will be required, but no big deal, it should only be 2lbs of each custom order item. if there is interest I can look into this further.

Thanks for the orders guys...

just a reminder, please list items singly... due to lack of space, I have to cram stuff where I can, and all length of each diameter bolt are not necessarily right next to one another. if I have line items I can check off when filling the order it makes life much easier, and increase the likelihood of me actually shipping you what you asked for.

Also, when ordering by the pound, check the Qty/Lb column in the price list. Some of the bigger sizes are pretty heavy, and if you ask for a half pound I may actually have to take one bolt and cut it down a bit :D

Thanks for bearing with me, this is a learning experience for me.

Thanks guys for the orders. everyone's stuff is either shipped or you have an invoice in you inbox waiting to be approved by you!

I've updated the inventory list (see my sig) to take off all the sold out items, and I've updated some of the pricing to be more in line with everything else...

Price on socket head cap screws has been lowered...

Speaking of SHCS, I have the opportunity to pick up a ton of these things in sizes from 1/4 to 1" coarse thread (hardened alloy, same specs as grade 8, black oxide finish)... I haven't sold any so far, however, so I'm kind of concerned that if I bought this stuff I'd just be sitting on it.

would anyone here be interested in SHCS, top quality, for a fraction of what you'd pay on the street?

if they were cheap enough id get a pound of every size SHCS, maybe 2 or 3lb depending on price.

ill finish my other order for you tonight

The pricing for SHCS would be at 4.25/lb.. here are some examples of what I have in stock right now as far as an each price.. this pricing is right in line with the rest of the fasteners that I have. As you can see, things really get good when you get to the bigger sizes. My prices stay the same per lb, while if you go anywhere else, they bend you over and don't even offer a reacharound.

My prices on flat head socket screws are similar...How do they strike you? would you buy if there was a wider selection?

Code:
Diameter	Length	Pitch	My price	Fastenal price
  7/16 7/8	Coarse	$0.25 $0.50
  1/2 1 3/4	Coarse	$0.52 $0.83
  1/2 2	Coarse	$0.58 $0.90
  5/8 4	Coarse	$1.70 $2.75
  3/4 2	Fine	$1.58 8.95

Another thing I have that I haven't put out there are socket set screws. Kind of an oddball item but I have about a dozen boxes in different size... any interest?

I use a fair amount of 1/4" SHCSs, and a few 3/8 and 1/2 occasionally. The 1/4" are my mainstays though in socket head cap, flat and button. I'd be willing to pick up a couple of pounds in a variety of lengths. The rest I just don't have frequent enough call for at the moment.
