Amazing! Love the HUGE rubber mallet.

Do those pavers come in "sheets" that they are picking up or are they a bunch of small individual pavers that they are clamping and picking up? Either way that's pretty neat. Great work.

I might have missed it... But please tell me you actually bought this place and aren't pouring this much cash and work into a rental.

Just reading through this resurrected thread.

Had to laugh at this as there is no such creature.

Ford made a Ford Victoria and a Ford Coupe.

Can't be both ..:spit:

Been calling them "Victoria Coupes" all my life. Did a quick Google search and it looks like a lot of other people use the same term. It may be incorrect but at 71 I am too old to change.

Torbin, Don't make the outsides too nice or you may not be able to afford the taxes.

Around here the tax collector uses aerial photographs to detect unreported improvements. If they see new concrete driveways, patios, etc. the come out and measure the surface and adjust the taxable value of the property. If they see other improvements they add them as well.

Man, this is one of those build threads where you suddenly realize you're on the last page and you don't want it to end!

I'm really sad to see what happened to the old shop, I guess the only blessing is that only one car was there. Obviously the tools no doubt were worth far more than the car, I could only imagine having to start over with my tool collection. I think the charred mill is the most heart wrenching part of those photos.

Anyway back to your shop, I love the character of the space. That's something that you really only find in an old industrial structure. I would be a happy man to have such a shop.

And I love your truck!

They are individual pavers and you're correct, they clamp them together with the mini-excavator attachment and lay them as a unit. A lot of big industrial truck parks are getting done like that in Germany...

Hello again .
We have not achieved much construction in 2015, it has been a ****** years of lawsuits after the fire in the old shop and complaints from neighbors in the new shop who ended up in the county, our little girl is sick, money is tight. Fortunately, we still have plenty to do :)
These pictures shown is probably the most important things that have happened during the year.

So, you take an abandoned industrial site and clean up the vegetation, haul off tons of eyesore junk, paint the exterior, fix the roof, and spend enough time there to keep the local riff raff out of the neighborhood and your neighbors are upset? Must be the open headers.

Good to see you back and posting.

I hadn't seen this thread until it was mentioned elsewhere. Fantastic job. Sorry to read about your child, the fire and lawsuits. Above all else, I hope your daughter is well.

Best of luck in 2017.
