We absolutely love fishing!!! We own 10 Shimano Tiagras, 4 Tyrnos, and countless inshore setups. We love tools and fishing both equally lol

I had that box for a long time and it was full . I started looking at a new KRL791 top box . I looked on Craig's list and never found a top box by itself .... But I did find a KRL761 and a KRL791 in black cherry for less than 2K :)

Nice collection, I don't know many grown men with a collection like yours. What do you enjoy working on? I'm jealous of all your snappy ratchets!

I mainly like working on small engines and boats. I love boats so that means I like fixing them too lol. Small engines are great because I can just stay in the gararge.

That is very cool, I still have the CMan screwdrivers/pliers my father gave me when I was 16...a long time ago.

Memories of spending hours in his workshop.

Yeah it's very nostalgic. I have my dad's old SK set from when he was 12 years old. He is 45 years old now. I replaced the missing sockets and now have a complete set!!!

I use that crayon for when there is a faded model number or part numer. I put the paper over the number, and color over it and it shows up on the paper.

Hmm.. May try that. I just lick my thumb and wipe it across those numbers.

That is quite the setup for a 15 year old. Got a great start there kid. Props to your dad.

I had access to a lot of good tools at that age, but they belonged to papa. And we had no large central mechanics toolboxes or chests. Instead, the tools were in individual carry tool boxes, on the workbench shelves or hanging on a pegboard above the workbench. We had an old school bench grinder and a couple of good vises. We also had lots of carpentry and woodworking tools, both hand tools and power tools. Getting that exposure to tools and working on projects at a young age is such a good thing. I also took woodshop, metalshop, autoshop and drafting in jr high and high school. Great stuff. Thanks for sharing.

Pic of the old school grinder.

Joey, for a young, teenaged man, you have a great collection. Seeing your box gives me hope in our youth.

Really? REALLY? I for one have never not had faith in today's youth.

In the all-time contest for the "screwed-upness" of a generation, the Boomers have to be the world champs. The earlier ones (the hippies) more so than the later ones.

BTW, I'm a Boomer. A late one, born in 1961. And before anybody gets their ******* in a wad, I'm not saying that you're automatically screwed up if you're from that generation.

Oh, and nice tools, Joey. Congratulations on having such a nice selection at your early age.

Thanks guys!!! Looking for a roll cab because my Husky is stuffed, my Snap On KRA 21A is also full, and my cheapo cabinet is bending from the weight lol. If anyone sees any quality but affordable roll cabs on Craigslist in the NJ area, PM me. I am constantly looking but there are always one or two that don't come up in the search.

It seems like I've seen a fair number of good boxes show up in your neck of the woods on ebay. I know I saw one of the old light grey w/red drawer craftsman box sets up there. Those were well built. I've seen other brands for good prices that way as well. Of course, I never bite on them due to shipping costs.

Yeah that's why I mainly look on Craigslist so that way I don't have to pay shipping.

Most of those boxes I saw on ebay stated, "for local pick-up only." They didn't want to mess with shipping. You can specify the distance for items searched for under advanced search on ebay from your zipcode. Anyways, good luck to you.

WOW that's a heck of a snappy set-up for a 15 yr old. I'm the reverse, dad was a tech for 20 some years plus grew up on a farm. He's got all the Snappy stuff, I'm starting with Craftsman but I have to find me a good deal on some Snap-On ratchets. The Craftsman ones **** after using his Snap On tools all these years.
I'm sure you know, but it seems like one of the US General boxes would be a good fit for you.
