Father's Day

So Father's Day is coming up. I thought I'd share what I made for my dad. I saved the tailgate from his 1960 Chevy apache 10 pickup and made this. I still need to finish the arm rests, but it's just too freakin hot. Hope he likes it.

Looks really nice! I bet you could make a little side business selling benches like that!

There was a guy at Round Top that had a ton of benches like that. Very cool for the gear head to put on his patio or in his cave! Looking good.

Thanks everyone for the compliments. I can't wait to see his face. Especially when he realizes I stole the tailgate from his truck. Haha. My dad also recently brought home his 1960 El Camino to start working on. He seems to be a Chevy guy, although he won't admit that.

Looks great......Here is mine. Still not done with it yet. I used the running boards for arm rests.
