Faux yellow chromate

I painted a rusty yellow chromate engine bracket. It is a thin layer of gold spray paint over black primer, with a touch of red and green misted over from three feet away. Obviously not the real thing, but looks better than rust.

Not bad. Certainly better than I could do by eye.

Did you use an Eastwood kit. I bought a kit from them years ago and it had a can of gold, a can of green, and a can of red. It didn't work too bad but wasn't easy to do small parts.
