I don't think I have ever discussed this here yet, but I have a new favorite LED penlight.

4Sevens Preon 2 - https://www.foursevens.com/product_info.php?products_id=2885

I used to favor Streamlight's Stylus Pro, and while I still hold them in high regard, I find the Preon to easier/more comfortable to use and with a more refined construction. They do cost twice as much, but imho it's worth it.

I have a full review over at TG - http://toolguyd.com/4sevens-preon-2-led-flashlight-review/ , and plan to eventually do a direct comparison, if I can remember where I put my 2 Styluses.

Edit: Couple more faves here - http://toolguyd.com/led-flashlights/ - but not all are strictly flashlights.

I use the Streamlight Microstream mainly because it fits in my pocket and provides more than enough light. I recently lost it and have ordered another.

I have a Microstream as well, in theory at least since I too can't find mine, but feel that it doesn't feel any more compact than a Stylus Pro or Preon in my pocket.

Even when I knew where it was I carried my Stylus much more often.

Heck of a great light though for its size.

Oh, I should know better than to click on your threads after what happened with the whole knife thing.

4Sevens makes good stuff. I've got a Quark "X" 123^2 that I'm happy with . It puts out a lot of light for such a small flashlight.

When my Streamlight finally dies I might consider one of those Preon's.

So far my Streamlight has seen it's fair share of abuse from various body fluids.

I'm going to pick up a Preon for work before Christmas. May grab a Quark Turbo too.

I personally like Fenix, but 4Sevens stuff is really nice.

The Inova X5 for up close, the LED Lenser for general bright use, good for distance inside a dark plant or garage!

Are you talking about finding new models to add to your wishlist?

I bought a whole bunch of models from brands I've never heard of before. Some are eye-openers and absolutely fantastic.

Yep, that's what got me started as well. The whole package is just so very well executed.

I'm a big fan of the Streamlight Stylus Pro. Someone was kind enough to send me one in the mail and I use it everyday. ;)

Them tiny pen lights aren't much use for me at work, and they're easy to break and or lose.

I use a Streamlight Strion LED currently, my next light will be a Stinger DS with the piggyback charger, running out of battery half way through an under dash job or ****** R&R blows big time.

I just invested in two new lights on ebay, $3.49 is finger sized, very light, 1xAA, and just as much light with a better build than a HF free 9 LED, but cheaper if you use Eneloops since it doesn't need 3 of them. Rated for size, wt, lumens/$ I call it OK, or good if you need those features. Too much grease on the threads initially made poor contact, but after a day of fiddling and retightening, seem fine.

$5.99 (both prices incl shipping) light has a zoom, and zoomed out to a width with maybe 15 times the area of the cheaper light its just as bright. Zoom down tight its much brighter than my old standard LED Maglite from Home Depot a year or so ago. Google 7w Cree 300LM (no way, but thats the claim) and its easy to find on ebay. Some of the Candlepower guys prefer the one that is $1 more, but I don't recall the keyword to sort it out. This one is bigger, thick as my thumb with cooling fins near the LED, same length about a finger. Checking a bit mine looks like a clone of the Sipik SK68.

No, I don't have any lamps other than mag-lights just like I didn't have any USA knives last week.

I carry the Fenix LD01 on my keyring. It always comes in handy! I don't wear a shirt with a pocket so I don't have a penlight...a lot of the guys at work carry the Streamlight Stylus Pro.

Yeah I have that one too. I really like. I wasn't sure about the CR123 batteries but after using it for about a year I am glad I went with them. They are cheap if you buy them online and last a very long time. The flashlight is worth every penny, in my mind. Cant say enough good stuff about 4sevens.

Quark mini 123 stays in my pocket daily. Not much bigger than a tube of chapstick and BRIGHT! CR123 batteries are cheap online as mentioned above, plus my Quark mini sips the juice.

Fenix E05 on my keychain. Bright and small. Comes in very handy when I need it. I also have a few Maglites, 2C, 3D, and 2AAA. They have LED conversion kits for them which are supposed to be brighter and help the batteries last longer.

I've had a few over the years, but my favorite is the 4Sevens stainless steel Preon Revo.

My pen light is on my keychain, which is almost always in my pocket. I've been known to use it to find my bigger flashlights, and then as a backup when that bigger flashlight runs out of juice.

I use a streamlight stylus pro, with the Cornwell logo on it. Makes it that much brighter.

My penlight of choice is the Led Lenser P4.

I second that, I have had a stylus pro and its given me nothing but trouble, switch broke (matco replaced unit) second one the unit wont light up or flicker and shut off. Not impressed with streamlight at all.

LED LENSER and COAST are my favorites at the moment

have the : LL T7 2x P4 2x P2
had a A25 ( i think) but lost it :(

Coast I have the HP14

Reviewed the A25 a year ago. It's nice but a bit bulky and I'm not a fan of the way the lighting modes cycle.
