Many times I've bought a carpenters pencil at Sears to bump up to a couple minimum, but I've run out of most small items.

What are some favorites? Specifically I'm stuck at $46 at Zoros, itching for that free shipping at $50.

For a long time on Amazon the 4oz Elmer's School Glue was 52 cents. I bought a lot of those as filler and actually wound up using them up pretty regular.

At Amazon I always have toothpaste, various over the counter medications, shampoo and other daily needs items on the wish list to get me to free shipping.

Never had prime, been buying there since all they sold were books.

My fill in needs are usually with Summit Racing (99.00 before free shipping). Somehow if I start with a $70 item I fill in with 2-3 $60 items to go with it, but I do have a dozen Summit t-shirts I’ve used as fill ins

Zoro sells Ulleman Made in USA pick up claw tools, mirror or magnetic pick up tools. Sometime those small magnets can save you.

One of my favorite companies, Ullman, their picks are great, same for the mirrors etc.

What gets me is that after all my effort to get to free shipping Zoro shipped in a half a dozen small boxes and packets.

On Amazon I usually wind up throwing in a Wera hex key or a pack of coping saw blades to get over $25. If you sort by 'lowest price', you sometimes find deals on items where they've only got one left in stock. I've gotten some Channellock screwedrivers and Williams wrenches recently for $3-$4 by sorting by lowest price and looking for "Only 1 left in stock".

3 piece wire brush set at the local dollar store nearly as good as the car parts stores but less than half the cost.
