Here's what's in my pocket right now. Zero Tolerance 0560. Good steel. Big comfortable grip. Nice big blade. Very good tool.

My other favorite folders are a USA made Spyderco Military model and a Buck 110.

Here's my favorite fixed blade. It's made by River Bottom Blades. It has 01 carbon steel blade and micarta scales. Outstanding knife for outdoor activities. Here's a shot from today during a combination hike and canoe trip.

4th Spyderco. It takes owning one to truly get it I think. Years ago I would have thought they looked funny, now it's my preferred brand. Budget is the only thing holding me back from owning more

Kahr Arms version of the Delica, short and sweet. I just love how it looks.

For years I was a Benchmade guy, I have almost 70, most mint (once you find the right EDC the rest become Gerstner queens). Then on a whim i picked up a Zero Tolerance, and have not carried a Benchmade since.

For traditional carry, it is almost always a Great Eastern branded knife, mostly Northfields. Them little buggers is addicting!

After breaking I forget how many Benchmade knives throughout the years (most recent is the smaller one in the picture where the tip broke off)... only one to hold up to over 4 years of abuse with everyday carrying/fishing/hunting/working as a diesel mechanic/use everyday in the army is my gerber s30v auto. Love this knife and need to get a replacement just to have a back up.

The Gerber auto is a good little knife, I still like the Benchmade autos better. Holly **** they are expensive though.

You have to be careful what state you are carrying them in. Some states anyone can carry one, some you can only carry them with a Police/Fire/Military ID and some are Police/Fire/Military only in the line of duty. It is one of those stupid little laws you don't want to run afoul of. The penalties can be steep in addition to losing a $300+ knife for the Benchmades.
