My builder tried to convince me to drywall my detached garage but it costs a lot more than the 7/16" OSB I eventually put up. If I had it to differently, I would have painted the pieces before we put them on the wall but that was because we had a lift for one day and had to get it done. I also would not have put OSB on the ceiling. I would have used something thinner. It is very functional but not the prettiest, even after painting. Eventually, I'm going to put up some white boards, a huge dry erase US and/or world map and peg board.

I used pre-finished tongue and groove pine for the dividing wall in my shop. The other walls are steel sheet metal panels.

I would love to see a few more pictures of your shop using the tin. I am currently redoing a 40 x 24 and have been considering using a combination of tin and cedar.

If there's a more recent thread on this topic please point me to it...

What are folks using for interior walls in unconditioned garages these days? I love the idea of 3/4" ply, but prices are upwards of $100 a sheet. Even finished drywall is cheaper, though less practical. Would love some ideas for a material that will allow me to hang anything anywhere, and look good, even if I have to paint it.

I am in the process of covering the walls in my shop with Alucoil. Aluminum panels with honeycomb core. 62”x196” sheets. available In different colors. Not sure how expensive it is at the moment. At the time(a couple years ago) my father in law got it, it was cheaper than plywood for the amount of coverage.
