There are MANY threads on this, search?

For me, the older craftsman Professional black handles. Unfortunately they stopped making them and changed the style :(

My favorite screwdriver is the Snap On Reversible ones with the Old Handle, Old Script. I like Snap On Screwdrivers of any kind.

Favourites are Snap On hard handle. I also like MAC hard handle and my Gray tools screwdrivers. Can't stand Snap On instinct they just don't feel right.

I've answered this query many times, but bad screwdrivers are one of my favorite things to rant about so I'll play ball.

My choice? Hard handle Snap-On takes first place. Mac hard handles are a close second. Third is a toss up between Wera, Klein, and Wiha.

Anyone tried out the new Macs yet? I really DON'T need anymore screwdrivers but I'm thinking about buying one or two just to see how they are. That ad campaign pushing them has it's hook set in me.

My favorite are Vessel's Megadora followed by Wiha soft finish.

Lenox 9 in 1 gets the most use.... But i prefer the handles on Britool and Vessel Megadora!

I've never heard of Vessel. Tell me about them. They look pretty sharp. Are they British-made?

What do you guys use hand drivers for that makes them important to you? I am a professional woodworker/aviation cabinet maker and I drag race competitively, but honestly I don't use ANY hand driver enough to matter. I do own SO hard handles and Matco(Wittes) but I could get by with a $15 set of stantleys.

I really like the snap on instincts and the reason you don't have a drawer full is because you have to sell your first born child first;).

Sent directly from the Snap On Kool Aid factory.

They are Japanese, i got a set for about £40 as i wanted a JIS ph2 screwdriver for the Japanese air con's that i work on plus Saginomiya controls also. They seem to put a lot of attention into design, there is a knurled section on the shaft so you can spin a loose screw quickly, also i expect that i like them because they are a bit exotic compared to what is available in local shops.

They also make a more round shaped handled version that glows in the dark, i got a PH2 and flat one for my business partner as its often easy to mislay tools when working above ceilings on cassette air cons, he says its the best screwdriver he has!

Snap on instinct soft grip or craftsman pro(red/black handles). Although the pros could not take out a rusty screw on the sill plate on a 2000 Cherokee. Snap on took it out with zero cam out. The snap ons are really superior. Like their motto says. There is a differance. Love them

1. snap on hard handle 2. mac hard handle 3. older style matco hard handle
For manual driving of fasteners I prefer a non ratcheting SO or ATI (almost the same) hard handle with wera bits.

Isn't that the truth...ROFL...
But seriously, cant say I have a favorite...what I use depend on where I am. In my basement workshop I've got the Macsimizer set and SO Hard Handles...Reach for the Macs every time...the SO's are like new. Out in the garage I've got SO Soft Instincts, Love em. In my work toolbag I've got a mix of Whia Soft-Grip & Soft Instincts.

I've got a set of green handled Craftsman's in the garage as well which are as mentioned above for abusive things...aligning, prying, chiseling.. :D Cant remember the last time I used them on a screw.

jmm, they are made in Japan to the JIS standard. They fit screws great and the handle shape feels great in my hand. Tips are hard and wear very little. If I could only have one screwdriver it would be the Vessel's Megadora. I've tried and own quite a few brands (Vessel, Wiha, Wera, Felo, PB Swiss, Expert, Channellock, Titan, Duralast, Dewalt, Williams, Snap on, Craftsman, Draper), they are all good, but the Vessels feel the best to me.
