I like the hard handle Snap On's best. I find them the most comfortable. But hard handle Mac's are also good. For a budget set, the Craftsman aren't too bad.

I have bout 10 of the Newer craftsman pro's, thems ok
I got them only cause they aren't making them anymore, for light use/display/nostalgic reasons

mucho expensive and only worth it for the warranty which is no mas

You really can't go wrong with alot of the top brands. Wiha, wera, witte, pbswiss, xcelite, snap-on old and new, mac old hh and new style, proto, matco(witte), craftsman pro/sk. They are all good screwdrivers. Comein a variety of shapes and sizes. Many come in various styles and types. Just surf the interweb and find the set in your price range you like the looks of and buy em.

It's all about ergonomics with hand tools. Wera and Snap-On are in the absolute best list. I always say to try eBay or Craigslist for used sets if you don't want to pay new prices.

I like old vaco and old maroon green and orange matco hard handles. They are my goto. Those hf ones in the pic above will suprise you. They can't be beat for 6 bucks with coupon

I picked the Williams hard handle in the 19 piece kit that has some Bahco's in there. I really like Snap-On hard handles too so these were an easy choice at the price.

I'm gonna go ahead and vote Wera, especially for Torx. In my line of work (machinist), I see Torx quite often, and their tips last the longest, especially on tools that have had inserts overtightened by the last guy. In fact, I was just shopping for a new set of Torx drivers on Amazon..

I've had 3 sets of wera - they are very good but I have worn the tip on the phillips head pretty good, chipped the chisseldrivers too.

My favorite are my snap on set (newest series soft handle).. The phillips is getting a bit worn but I have used it a ton.. The best part is, warranty! When I get around to it I'll ask my dealer for a new shaft or maybe he'll just give me a new screwdriver. Looking back now I kind of wish I hadn't bought them along with allot of other SO tools. They are STUPID expensive. I believe all top brands make top notch screwdrivers. Its just a user preference thing .. just like Ford vs Chevy.

Ive got pb swiss, snap on hard handle and mac hard handle. They all feel great in my hand, the only thing that differentiates between them is I think the pb swiss has the toughest tips, so for that reason they get the top spot for me...

Honestly I have to say my snap on screwdrivers are my favorite comfortable handles and if I ****** up the tip a replacement is just a phone call away.

Yet another vote for snappy drivers with the Instinct soft handles. They just seem like you can twist a little harder with them.

2nd by not much goes to Williams/Snappy hard handles.

Whia makes damn fine small electronics screwdrivers. The red and black ones.

I have all and use them daily.

There's a bunch of good cheap screwdrivers. Depends on what you want to spend.

Besides what's on here (that I think people will recommend) I have decent suggestions not too bad on the wallet.

EBAY:
NAPA soft handles (old stock) (couple bucks a pop) these are witte I think; look real good.
NAPA hard handles (old stock)-around 18 including shipping. I think it's a different manufacturer than craftsman screwdrivers. Might be armstrong; kind of look like it.
Crescent dura driver (OLD STOCK USA)-around 25 for a big set. Kind of bare bones but they're my favorite drivers.
Kobalt striking drivers are real good (USA individuals) too but too expensive to buy off the shelf.

Craftsman crystal handles aren't too bad either. People don't like them though.

I've got about 40 WERA screwdrivers and like them a lot (except for constant cleaning of the soft handle grips). That said, I've been seriously looking at the WIHA microfinish series. Sweeeeet!

Sadly I have to agree, I picked up a set for my road box and they've been great.
At home I've got a mix of brands that I've tried and they are all quite good ( Klein, Wera, Wiha, Williams, Snap-on, craftsman pro, hazel, new canadian made Mastercraft) but my two favorites go to sets are my Pro Point from Princess auto ( bought a set for the office as a cheap disposable set and after a year of abuse they still rock so I got some for home) and the snap-on's.
