My favorite is CorrosionX which can be had in different spray cans or bottles depending on your usage. I use it on all my Steadicam gear before and after working in airborne particle-heavy environments.

CorrosionX usually can be had from aviation supply houses and facilities.

Works great on automotive and marine applications, too!

left over motor oil in a little can. A little messy to apply, but have some around. I also use WD40 a lot, Krown spray in a can, I also have a can of liquid wrench. I used the liquid wrench to try to free a 1.25" hitch from the receiver on our vehicles. didn't work. :(

I like Kroil, but am on a quest to see what other good products are on the market.

So far, I have found several not too common brands that I like. Most have limited distributors, which makes it more difficult to purchase. I am testing over 80 brands of penetrating oil products.

I've got four go-to spray lube cans. No way I could settle on one. There's just too many different things they need to do.

Aero Kroil:
I usually use just plain Kroil, but sometimes I need to be able to spray up, and not drip it down on something frozen.

CRC Silicone Spray:
Nobody's got a better silicone spray. This is perfect in locks (where even graphite can jam up a Medeco lock), and I spray it on my car door seals so they cannot freeze shut.
I also spray the inside of my snow blower chute, but fluid film is probably better for that (although I cannot find fluid film at any local retailer). Also good on squeaking hinges, and waterproofing leather.

G96 Gun Treatment:
I switched to this from WD-40 and never looked back. It's the best rust preventative I've found to date.

Pedro's Extry Dry Lube:
I get this at the bike shop. It's good on bike chains, but so much more. It drys to a super slippery film that doesn't attract dust, so it's great on folding knives too.

Spray Lube = Penetrating oil. Hands down.... Penetro 90.
Yet another wonderful product from Schaeffer Oil.

For all around use... WD40 (cheap and smells good), Liquid Wrench, PB Blaster, then Penetro 90.
Notice the ascending price points.
My $.02

We use this where I work. It works well at getting rusted and long tightened nuts loose. At home in the garage I use Tri-Flo,JB80 and the wayward can of Screwloose that followed me home from work :)

I've had difficulty trying to get a can of Penetro 90. They want me to buy an entire case and want me to become a distributor.

Not the best lube for all applications, but everyone needs a can of silicone spray. Great for nylon glides on aluminum tracks.

Silicone spray is also amazing for rubber boots (CV joint or plumbing) and those rubber donuts used to hang exhaust systems !

Spray some on a clean rag and wipe down all of the weather striping on your car doors and trunk.

For lubricants it can be a number of things, depending on the application. I have WD40, silicone spray, white lithium grease (in a spray can), Tri-flow, etc.

For a penetrant (not the same as lubricant, IMO) I like Aero-Kroil.
