Trying to finalize the details and pull the trigger on an 18k Mr Cool DIY for my 3 stall garage and curious to see if anyone has any tips on my proposed line routing or other items prior to it showing up and me being "committed" with a hole in the wall :). I've put this here vs my build thread as it's specifically related to the mini-split, more details on the space in the build thread linked in the signature

Exterior shot showing the planned layout....the compressor is "to scale", intending to put it on a stand vs wall mount as heard too many complaints about vibration though not sure that'd be a big concern here as I'd be wall mounting to that foundation wall and the backside of that wall is just fill(not living space)

Intending for the lineset to come thru the wall in that inside corner where that dimension line starts, the blue X was just a reference point visually for the right height and as far over as I could easily reach with the wrong ladder. Plan is to run it down the wall then turn horizontal and slope toward the compressor, electric will come out of that junction box to a AC disconnect then a flex whip to the unit. Am intending to buy a lineset cover kit(may need 2) and paint it to match the siding to help "blend in". The electric conduit you see is going to the subpanel for the garage so it's an easy run for the circuit back to that junction box

Interior is a bit different then many I've seen:

So I've dropped the air handler in pretty well scaled to size and located about where it needs to go. That mounts it in roughly the middle of the garage left to right, and keeps it as far away from the sawdust side as I think I can get.

Will punch the lineset out the right side(as viewed in this picture) of the air handler instead of the back as is common and run it horizontally (but sloped appropriately) across that 38" run then it'll need to turn back 90 degrees at the blue line where it can then punch thru the exterior wall as shown in the prior shot. The backside of the wall where the pegboard and air handler will be located is the 1st floor powder room/bath so don't think it benefits me much to punch it thru there as it's then visible in the living space and still have to go thru the wall again. I'm planning on covering the interior with the lineset cover as well to help clean up the look and protect the lines from damage

Currently planning on ordering the unit from Amazon as they're the cheapest and I have a 20% coupon code I should be able to apply from a baby registry completion(PSA....it's not worth it to have a baby to get that coupon code!), Costco has it cheaper but it's the slightly older 2nd Gen that appears to have been replaced by the current model 18 months ago so going to go for the newest model. The lineset covers and stands all look pretty similar but if there are any recommendations or "avoid this" love to hear them along with any other thoughts!
