Feeding compressor w/power

Mounting my compressor outside the garage. Exterior is brick, walls are block

Should I feed the compressor by dropping a line down through the soffit? Or should I feed it though the block/brick wall?

I'm going to have to bring the air in through the block wall, and I'm thinking limiting the amount of holes in the external brick is a good thing....but I wanted a few other opinions on it.

Only down side I can think of is a few extra feet of wire and the frustration of trying to fish a wire through the soffit.

I'd just add another hole through the wall. You'll need a disconnect out there next to your compressor. Either an outlet box or a safety switch, depending on the size of your motor. So you could bring the wire through the wall under the box, or directly into the back of the box.

Why are you worried about additional holes in the brick? Is the compressor going to be under a roof or inside an enclosure?

Going to build a little roof over the compressor for sure. Wasn't really worried about another hole, just figured less would be better.

I plan on using copper pipe for the air lines inside (since I have a bunch of it already). As far as bringing the air line inside the building....what should I do? Just drill a hole put the pipe through and then use some expanding foam to fill in the gaps?
