Im a DIYer looking to adjust valves on my Honda 2.4l.

Regarding feeler gauges ... Should I consider:

Regular straight?
Angled?
Go-no-go variety?

And do brands matter?

Thanks for the input!

(since this *is* GJ, Im guessing the answer might be: get them all!)

Re: Feeper gauges

I don't know much about your engine, but when I did the valves in my Subaru 2.5, the angled gauges came in very handy.

K24 motor? Angled gauges get my vote. Personal preference on B/K series motors.

On Hondas, I use the angled gauges. I prefer to unscrew the holder and pull out 4 sizes. An example is on the Accord I just did intake/exhaust was .010 and .012, so I pulled out .010, .011, .012, and .013

Angled, straight will not fit.

How many miles on it? And K-series has some what loud valve noise.

Just get both. On a certain motorcycle I found straight worked on one cylinder and angled on the others

I found Sears plenty good enough for quality. I don't like go/no go, I like to know exactly what it is.

I think I just sent you a PM. My first child just arrived at 1am :), and I'm a bit fatigued and not completely thinking straight ....
