For anyone that had purchased either the cordless drill or Supercut multi tool from the ToolNut deal a few months ago (Great Deals!) and would have liked the LED light, here's something.

Not offered in North America, I had been checking eBay and European websites; either ridiculous shipping or the LED itself overpriced. I found this place in the UK, they state on the website to e-mail them about shipping, which I did.

They have it for 32 GBP without the VAT and emailed me it would be 13 GBP to ship for a total of £45.46 GBP. For me in Canada it came to about $80 CDN, for anyone in the US it would be about $60 USD.

I bought both of the ToolNut deals so I have 6 batteries with only the drill and Supercut to use them on...so I ordered this LED. It came very fast, about a week I had it. It works great, has the yellowish colored light versus the blue tint, and I use LED's often, so my 6 batteries can be used a bit.

The link is below for anyone interested.

Wow cool! I've been searching every couple days since that deal trying to find some way to get that ALED shipped to me in the US and I've had no luck. Now to start justifying the purchase...

The short answer...yes.

I have many flashlights which I use to light up work areas outside, mainly in the spring & fall when it gets dark early. These are the ones I have which I can compare the Fein to;

The Fein definitely is priced well at about $60 USD. It has the yellow tint, like the Milwaukee, unlike the 2 Metabo and Makita which are blueish white.

The Fein lacks a hook, like the M12 and 2 Metabo have, but it is very small. The flashlight when folded is smaller than the battery. It sits quite nicely and little risk of it toppling over because it is such a low profile.

The beam falls in the middle, with the Metabo ULA having the tightest beam, the M12 and Metabo SLA the broadest beam, and the Fein and Makita falling in the middle.

As far as overall brightness, I don't have the lumen specs (you can probably find them online), but the 3 blue/white tint ( Metabo & Makita) appear to be brighter than the M12 & Fein yellow light. This may be appearance, or they might actually have more LED's and lumens. But to me they all do the job quite nicely, especially when compared to incandescent lights or the very first GEN LED's which were purple and weak.

I have tons of cordless tools and consequently many batteries. Both flashlights and radios are super convenient to have using these batteries and also help in cycling batteries that I might not use as often, the Fein being a great case in point. A great drill and the Supercut, but with 6 batteries, the flashlight is a very welcome addition.

Hope that helps.

Thanks. Good to hear that you like it. The drill and supercut are nice. I'll have to look into this light as I have the 6 batteries also.
